Pashmina Factory Partially Re-opens

A little good news with regards to the production of pashminas.

The pashmina factory in Kathmandu has re-opened yesterday.

The Maoist government of Nepal has finally lifted some of the insane restrictions on businesses.

However only 9 of the 70 employees have managed to get to work.

The rest are stuck in their home towns and villages due to the government restrictions.

They will come back to work as soon as they are allowed and are able to get there.

Some context on COVID-19 in Nepal

So far there have been 75 positive identifications of COVID-19 in Nepal (population 28million)

Either the Nepalese government have been incredibly successful in squashing the virus, or they have lifted restrictions before the virus has really got going, or maybe the restrictions were pointless harm.

Coronavirus Update - Kathmandu Factory Re-opening 8th May

The pashmina factory, located in a beautiful part of the outskirts of Kathmandu, is set to partially re-open on 8th May.

That means that the delayed bespoke pashmina orders will be finished and shipped as soon as possible.

Nepal had about 30 cases of Coronavirus and zero deaths.

At least the lock down may have saved about 15 lives per day on the countries roads.

The price of mutton is up over 30%, and they have now banned importing vegetables. More shortages to come.

The biggest scam and heft in history is almost over. There are only the consequences to deal with now!

Coronavirus Update - Special Delivery no longer guaranteed by 1pm

We have just received this update from our Royal Mail account manager.

"I am writing to you on behalf of your Account Manager MB to make you aware of some slight service changes we have had to make due to the current Corona Virus epidemic.

Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm

Due to the current coronavirus situation, we’ll no longer guarantee deliveries by 1pm the next working day for items posted from Thursday 19 March 2020 onwards. We will still prioritise Special Delivery parcels and letters and will aim to deliver by 1pm or before the end of day. However, we will not consider a claim for delay or consequential loss as a result of delay for items posted using the Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm service from that date."

Seems reasonable enough.

Sorry if it causes any problem for anyone.

Nepal on Lockdown for 1-Week

Our factory is closed for at least one week.

For customers of Mypashmina.co.uk, this means that bespoke orders will be delayed by at least one week. We have plenty of stock in the UK, so other orders will not be effected.

Nepal has had 2 confirmed cases of COVID-19 so far.

The borders are already closed and from today there is a shutdown for 1 week. I predict that the lock down will get extended.

The effect on the Nepalese economy is going to be devastating.

9% of GDP is from tourism, and that is already down to zero. Exports will be hit next.

Our workers will get paid for as long as we are trading.

Do You Like Our Pashmina Pop Video ?

So ?  Did you like it ?

The loom shown is a Jacquard loom. All the threads are set up and tied to heavy weights to keep them straight and tight. Then the weaving begins.

Each time the shuttle is pushed across, the holes in the jacquard cards mean that a different selection of the stretched yarns are raised or lowered. This makes each row of the fabric individual, which builds up a pattern row by row.

The little boy in the video is my son. He is playing with a wheel which is for hand spinning the cashmere which is found in the angelweave stoles. Hand-spun cashmere is uneven, extremely soft and looks great as well.

If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to ask.

Shawl - A History in 7 Interesting Sections

Shawl

The shawl is an important and interesting part of human history and culture. In this guide we will take a look at the origins of the shawl, how it is used and some of the many types that are available today.

The Origins Of The Shawl

A shawl is simply a woven rectangle of fabric. People have been weaving fabrics for a long time.
The earliest evidence found to date comes from fabric imprints in clay which are about 27000 years old. They were found in the Czech Republic. The article didn’t say where, but I am assuming Pavlov.
Pavlov I in southern Moravia is the most complete and complex Gravettian site to date, and a perfect model for a general understanding of Gravettian culture. Gravettian peoples stretched from Russia to Spain from 29000 to 22000 years ago.
A detailed examination of the impressions reveals a large variety of weaving techniques. There are open and closed twines, plain weave and nets. Twining can be done by hand but plain weave needed a loom. A plain weave piece of fabric could have been a shawl. We will get on to how they might have been used later.

A ring shawl from Mypashmina. Made from 100% Cashmere and 60 count fine guage yarn.

If you prefer to listen to this article, then play this video.

It may be that many stone artifacts found in settlements may not be objects of art as had been supposed but parts of an ancient loom, which should now be considered as the first machine to be made after the wheel and aids such as the axe, club, and flint knife.
The academic who studied this claims that the evidence of net making implies that women were catching foxes with them. Seems like a bit of a leap of faith to fit a cultural marxist feminist agenda, but interesting nonetheless.

History and Etymology for Shawl

The word shawl first appeared in English in 1662. I can’t find the exact source of this, but I assume it came in to use due to trade with Persia or India.
The word comes from the From Persian شال‎ (šâl). It is similar to the Sanskrit शाटी (śāṭī). Some sources claim the word originated in the 14th century. The oversimplified version of that story is that a persian man travelled to Ladakh and made a shawl.
It appears that from quite early on, that a shawl was more than just a regular wrap. It was something more prestigious, and linked to higher quality yarns such as cashmere. Wrap was in English since the early 14th century.

This image came from The North American Indian by Edward S. Curtis. These images were published between 1907 and 1930.

Definition of Shawl

Merriam Webster defines shawl as: a square or oblong usually fabric garment or wrapper used especially as a covering for the head or shoulders.
Wikipedia describes a shawl as : A shawl (from Persian: lang-Urdu شال‎ shāl,[1] which may be from Hindi: दुशाला duśālā, ultimately from Sanskrit: शाटी śāṭī[2]) is a simple item of clothing, loosely worn over the shoulders, upper body and arms, and sometimes also over the head. It is usually a rectangular or square piece of cloth, which is often folded to make a triangle, but can also be triangular in shape. Other shapes include oblong shawls.
The cloth can be made from almost any fibre or material. The limit to this is that it should be relatively lightweight. Too thick and it is a blanket.
With regards to size, there is no precise definition. If it is too small it is a cashmere scarf and if it is too big then it would be a throw or blanket.

Types of Shawl

There are many types of shawl. The range of possible materials, designs, sizes, shapes and colours is practically infinite. We will look here at some of the more famous types of shawl.

Embroidered Shawls

Kashmir, in India, is famous for these. However, I have to say that finding a genuine high quality cashmere shawl with genuine silk embroidery is very difficult. Kashmir seems to be full of con men and scammers.

Jacquard Shawls

The jacquard loom was invented by Joseph Marie Jacquard in 1804.The loom was controlled by a “chain of cards”; a number of punched cards laced together into a continuous sequence. The resulting pattern in the fabric of the shawl catches the light and looks amazing.  We sell two types of jacquard pashminas.

Cashmere Shawls

Cashmere is often associated with shawls. It is really the ideal material. Soft and light and comfortable against the skin. if you take a shawl on a flight it will keep you warm, but will still pack up small enough to fit in your hand luggage easily.

Ways To Use A Shawl

The primary use for a shawl is to cover and keep warm, but there are a couple more ways they can be used.
  1. A baby carry sling. This is a common use in Nepal. A 90x200cm shawl works well enough to carry a baby, either on your side on on your back. In my experience, it is not as comfortable as the long baby carrying slings, but it works fine for short periods of time. I wouldn’t do this with a pure cashmere one, but have done it with a pashmina shawl that is 70% cashmere and 30% silk.
  2. A baby hammock . A hammock is a great place for a baby. It keeps the baby clear of the ground and away from ants. Babies like the rocking motion and find it soothing. A shawl can quickly be turned in to a hammock with some bits of rope tied at the ends. You can hang it under a table. I have done this too 🙂
  3. As a bag. If it works to carry a baby, think what else you could carry. The advantage is that you can lay it flat, fill it with stuff, then fold it up to close it.  I have also done this. I suppose in 17 years of carrying shawls around, occasionally they have to be put to work in the less luxurious ways.

This portrait of Jacquard was woven in silk on a Jacquard loom and required 24,000 punched cards to create (1839). It was only produced to order. Charles Babbage owned one of these portraits; it inspired him in using perforated cards in his analytical engine.[1] It is in the collection of the Science Museum in London, England.

Shawl Manufacturing In The UK

John Kay invented the flying shuttle in 1733.  The flying shuttle used in Nepal today to weave a pashmina shawl, looks identical to the one John Kay invented all those years ago.
John Kay was born in 1704 in Lancashire. He apprenticed with a hand-loom reed maker, but is said to have returned home within a month claiming to have mastered the business. He designed a metal substitute for the natural reed that proved popular enough for him to sell throughout England.
He continued to design improvements to textile machinery; in 1730 he patented a cording and twisting machine for worsted.
In 1733,  he received a patent for his most revolutionary device: a “wheeled shuttle” for the hand loom. It greatly accelerated weaving, by allowing the shuttle carrying the weft to be passed through the warp threads faster and over a greater width of cloth.  It was designed for the broad loom, for which it saved labour over the traditional process, needing only one operator per loom – rather than two.
Kay always called this invention a “wheeled shuttle”, but others used the name “fly-shuttle” (and later, “flying shuttle”) because of its continuous speed, especially when a young worker was using it in a narrow loom. The shuttle was described as travelling at “a speed which cannot be imagined, so great that the shuttle can only be seen like a tiny cloud which disappears the same instant.”
But by September 1733 the Colchester weavers, were so concerned for their livelihoods that they petitioned the King to stop Kay’s inventions.
The flying shuttle was to create a particular imbalance by doubling weaving productivity without changing the rate at which thread could be spun, disrupting spinners and weavers alike. A weaver could now make fabric quicker than a spinner could spin the thread for it.
Also, fly-shuttle use was becoming widespread in weaving, increasing cotton yarn demand and its price – and Kay was blamed.

Cashmere Scarf

Cashmere Scarf

A GUIDE to choosing a cashmere scarf will contain some unexpected nuggets of information that we have gathered since we started back in 2002.
This guide has been split in to four sections, so you can easily skip to the part which is most useful for you.
Let's start with some definitions. The definition of a scarf is quite subjective, and there is plenty of overlap between what people classify as a scarf, a shawl, a stole or a wrap. I think most people would agree that a scarf is for wearing around your neck rather than around your shoulders or body. This means a scarf is usually not as wide as a stole or shawl. I would say a typical scarf can be up to about 45cm (18") wide. I prefer a longer scarf and most of our scarves are at 170cm. If they are too short, they would be classified as a throatwarmer. So I would say at least 120cm for an adult size scarf.

As for materials, as scarf can be knitted or woven from almost any material. Some examples include wool scarves, cashmere scarves, polyester scarves. Each type has advantages and disadvantages over the others. The winner is cashmere of course.

Six Types Of Cashmere Scarf

  1. Seeing as this is Mypashmina, we have to start with our classic pashmina scarf. This comes in either pure cashmere or a mix of 70% Cashmere and 30% Silk. They measure 30x150cm. The ones we have in stock have hand twisted tassels at the ends, but you can also order a bespoke one with either an open fringe or a hemmed edge for no extra charge. Our prices start at under £30. This type of cashmere scarf is quite thin and lightweight. It is the ideal type of scarf to carry anywhere just in case you need it. Cashmere Scarf - Pashmina Scarf
  2. I am always amazed by how much the big brands can charge for items. For a mere £495, you can buy this woven cashmere scarf made from 65% cashmere and 35% silk. It is quite wide, measuring 188x66cm, and meant to be worn folded in half. It is made in Italy. The label is Ralph Lauren. Cashmere Scarf - Ralph Lauren
  3. This cashmere scarf from The White Company is a double layer scarf, with grey on one side and black on the other. It is made from 47% wool, 45% cashmere, 6% viscose, 2% metallic. It was £85, and now it is half price. This was written at the start of march, so a lot of cashmere scarves are on sale at this time of year.  It measures 30x180cm which is a nice size. A double layer scarf is a good idea. The single layer ones tend to curl up and don't have much substance if they are knitted in a standard way.
    Cashmere Scarf - White Co.

  4. This cashmere scarf is one of my favourite things that we have ever made. It is 100% Cashmere. It is double layer. The reason we make it double layer is so that it doesn't roll over and it feels substantial. It is 100% cashmere, so it feels much softer than a scarf that is mixed with sheeps wool. It is available in 10 colour combinations. The price is £94.80. The tassels are little knitted tubes. It is very nicely finished.  Knitted Stripey Scarf - 170x25cm - 100% Cashmere - Japan Lovers
  5. Here is a very nice cable knit cashmere scarf. It is 3ply and 100% cashmere. The 3ply coupled with the cable knit makes it feel thicker. I would like to see it at least 4ply and 6ply would be ideal. The more ply it is the heavier it is and each gram of cashmere is quite expensive. The scarf come from cashmere.com, which is one of the top US based cashmere online retailers. 170x22cm and the price is £129, which includes shipping to the UK. They have some very nice colours in stock as well.
    Cashmere Scarf - cableknit
  6. This is the Mypashmina version of a cable knit cashmere scarf. It is 6ply, so it is thick and warm. It is 35x180cm. The price is only £82.80. Given the decline of the GBP, i think we will have to increase this price very soon. Buy Bitcoin. Twice as good and about 40% cheaper, than the cashmere scarf above,

How To Tell If A Cashmere Scarf Good Quality Before You Buy It ?

  1. A quick look around the web of how to tell whether cashmere is good quality or not seems to suggest that you should mainly base it on the country it was made in. Chinese bad, Scottish and Italian good. I can't think of any stage in the process where the nationality makes any physical difference to the quality. This might be a personal preference only.
  2. You could send a cashmere scarf to a laboratory to have the yarn tested. For about £200, they will tell you the thickness and length of the cashmere fibres and if there are any impurities. They use a microscope to individually examine 600 fibres. We use SGS labs. Here is an example fro m a recent test. Mean Fibre Diameter (μm) 16.3
    Coarse Hair Content (%) NIL
    Number of Snippetts 600
    Coefficient of Variation (%) 20.1

Of course you are not going to send your new cashmere scarf to have a hole cut in it for testing, but you can ask any supplier for their testing results. If it is a secret, then that is probably a clue.
  3. You can look at how long a retailer has been in business. You can only stay in business if you get repeat customers and you can only get repeat customers for cashmere scarves if the quality is good.
  4. Check the shops returns policy. Do you have a chance to try out your new cashmere scarf to see if it pills or gets holes. A woven cashmere scarf will actually improve with use. You can buy ready brushed woven cashmere scarves, but this weakens the fibres, so you would be buying it half worn out. An unbrushed scarf will last a lot longer. Cashmere Scarf with stripes - closeup
  5. Read reviews. Customers tend to write reviews if they are either really happy or really unhappy. There are a few people who write reviews for almost everything. 10 days after every order ,we ask customers for feedback and we explicitly ask for criticism. I wish we got more.

Advantages And Disadvantages Of A Cashmere Scarf Compared To A Wool Scarf

  1. More comfortable - a cashmere scarf will not feel itchy against the skin. Once you try cashmere, you can't go back to wool. I guess that's the disadvantage of any upgrade.
  2. Warmer - cashmere is so efficient at keeping the warmth in. I was trying to look for U-values to compare scientifically, but I guess not many people use cashmere to insulate their houses!
  3. Lighter weight - You forget you are wearing it. Light weight and smooth touch means that is is comfortable. I have forgotten I was wearing a cashmere hat and jumped in the shower a few times! It's also good for travel, especially flights.
  4. More expensive - a cashmere scarf costs more than a woolen one. So if you lose your it, or ruin it in the washing machine, it is more of a problem. This risk can be mitigated by buying your cashmere from a source that has no middlemen  and tiny overheads with a focus only on the product.
  5. Reaction of others.
  6. Packing size - You can squash a cashmere scarf smaller than a wool scarf, which is also good for travelling by air where space and weight are at a premium.

Why Buy From Mypashmina Compared To Other Online Stores ?

  1. If you like quality.
  2. If you like consistency since 2002.
  3. If you like to buy your cashmere in a way that helps support Nepalese people who suffer under an awful maoist regime.
  4. If you want bespoke options without any extra costs.
  5. If you want a cashmere scarf that is not mass produced, something rare.
  6. If you want to buy with Bitcoin with a discount - there are so many positive externalities for this decision.

Conclusion

We hope you found this guide helpful. Any comments you can add below might be useful for other people, so please don't hesitate to say something. Or you can contact us.

Cashmere Hats from Mypashmina.co.uk

 Womens Cashmere Hats UK

Womens Cashmere Hats UK

Yes, we have 32 different cashmere hats in stock at the moment. Although most of our customers are women. I am male and I constantly wear one of the reversible hats. As do my wife and kids. I like it so much. You can choose which colour to show, and they are so soft and light and warm.

FREE SHIPPING. So the price you see is the total price that you pay.

Cashmere Beanie Hat

I just wanted to check the definition of a Cashmere Beanie Hat. So this is from Wikipedia. "In the United States, a beanie is a head-hugging brimless cap, with or without a visor, made from triangular panels of material joined by a button at the crown and seamed together around the sides. Commonly made of cloth or felt material, beanies may also be made from leather or silk." Our Beanie Hats are made from cashmere.

 Cashmere Beanie Hats

Cashmere Bobble Hat Womens

We don't currently have any cashmere bobble hat womens . That does seem a strange way to phrase it. We have plenty of cashmere hats, but none of them have bobbles on. I think it is a very rare thing. You would need at least 20 grams of cashmere just for the bobble, and I am not sure if people would be willing to pay the extra. Let me know..

Maybe we could make the bobble out of a cheaper material such as wool, but then most of the cashmere hat would be very soft and the bobble would be itchy.

Cashmere Gloves

 Cashmere Gloves from Mypashmina.co.uk
Cashmere Gloves are almost an essential partner to a cashmere hat. I especially like out finger on/off cashmere gloves. They are so soft and light and you can easily reveal your fingers to flick about on your phone.

We have about 7 colours of the cashmere on/off gloves in stock, and we also have some similar styles.

You can find cashmere wristwarmers, which have a cable knit design. I prefer the cashmere gloves, because it is my fingers that get the coldest.

One more benefit of cashmere gloves is how quickly they dry out if they get wet. It is amazing. If you compare it to wool gloves or other gloves you would be very surprised.

Cashmere Hat Grey

We have this grey cashmere hat in stock at the moment. It is a pure cashmere hat. It is made from 28 count, 4ply yarn with a cable-knit design.

It is soft and light and warm and you will forget you are wearing it. I am wearing one of the reversible cashmere hats right now, and I have even got in the shower with one on my head before because I forgot it was there.

The price is just £30. Mypashmina offers much better deals than anyone else. This is mainly because of the lack of middle men. It's just us and our cashmere factory.

Cashmere Slouch Beanie

I wasn't sure what this was. I thought a cashmere slouch beanie might be simply an oversize cashmere hat, so I looked it up. I was right. But it seems that if you put the word 'slouch' next to the word 'cashmere', then that will be €120 please, thank you very much!

Cashmere Slouch Beanie

Our cashmere hats start at £30 and our double layer reversible cashmere hats are just £39.60

€192 !! wow farfetched .

Navy Cashmere Hat

That Navy slouch Beanie might be €192 , but  Mypashmina.co.uk has cashmere hats  from just £30. They are 100% cashmere, and it is top quality cashmere as well. We regularly send it to SGS Labs to have it tested, and we have also sent cashmere yarn from competitors for testing in the past.

I just noticed that we do not have a Navy Cashmere Hat in stock. It will be in a few weeks.

Cashmere Scarf

If you are planning to buy a cashmere scarf , then I would recommend these thick woven cashmere scarves .

 Cashmere Scarves
Individually photographed because each one is unique and we would like you to know exactly what you are getting. These are very thick and therefore very warm.  They look smart, but they do not look boring. If you want a cashmere scarf that might last you 20 years, then I would recommend these. £100 is quite a lot of money for a scarf, but I can wander around in winter with a t-shirt and one of these scarves on an I don't feel the need for a coat. Not that I am wandering around. Sounds a bit mad.

Customer Feedback - Thanks!

About a week ago, we started actively asking our lovely customers for some feedback on their orders. The email automatically is sent about 10 days after they have placed their order, so it is plenty of time for the order to be shipped, opened and tested.

We are especially asking for criticism so we can upgrade and improve Mypashmina.co.uk.

Thank you so much to everyone so far who has taken a couple of minuted to respond. It really helps us to help other customers.

We had lots of helpful feedback on our cashmere hoodies. Fantastic.

Here are the last 70 comments:

Mother and daughter so very happy with their wonderful 70/30 pashminas. Superb quality and feel. And authentic knotted fringe. Will become a staple accessory to have at hand for all occasions and every season. Highly recommended and excellent, speedy service.

Catherine
Received my order today – fantastic quick service and excellent quality cardigan – I will definitely order from you again and recommend to friends. Thanks!
Hello

Thanks for the receipt. About 2-3 years ago I bought a pashimina from you for my goddaughter in America. She tells me that it is beautiful quality, loves the knotted fringe and the size is perfect. I am impressed by the range of colours. The first was a special order in blue and now I am giving her the same one in Chyrsanthemum, because you have it in stock and she asked for a coral colour.

I like the fact that we know where the pashminas are coming from and that you support a local charity.

Thank you and wishing everyone Mypashmina a happy christmas and a great new year.

Jacqueline Williams
Beautiful pashmina and a unique colour which marks it out from others I think. It drapes in a lovely way and I've found quite a few ways to wear it already. Really pleased.
Very good pashmina Angelweave, I want to have one
Beautiful quality and gorgeous colour. Ordered it late afternoon and postman delivered the next morning. Fab service. My Pashmina - the "go to" site for me.
I just received my pashminas from you. I have purchased two others elsewhere but they are nothing compared to the quality of these. The softness is unparalleled and the quality and colours are outstanding. I finally feel like I have true pashmina!!!
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these and if anyone is looking, you won't regret this purchase from here but you will regret it from elsewhere! These are the real deal!
Thank you so much!!
Beautiful scarf, very warm and soft. Very quick delivery. However, it is a VERY bright orange and not the dark orange in the picture. It is much brighter than I am used to as I usually go for more muted colours but I would definitely buy from MyPashmina again. I think I will order the colour chart.
Colour very true to picture. Really lovely product and a joy to wear.
Beautiful colour and material. Great value as well.
Lovely Pashmina, I bought to go with my outfit for a wedding a was attending in October. great for those chilly evenings in Autumn.
Lovely quality, great value, very soft.
Just lovely, huge size, very soft, great value.
Devine, beautiful in every way, I am so pleased.
Lovely pashmina, great value and quality - but the blue was not as lavender as it looks on screen, just a pale blue, no purplish shade. I changed it for a different colour.
Gorgeous, flattering shade. The usual high quality cashmere from Mypashmina, excellent value. I wear a size 16 and this fits perfectly.
Very prompt service at a good price and lovely scarf -just what I wanted.
Lovely colour very soft but not as wide as expected
This was for a friend who loves it, it's perfect for her and she looks beautiful with it on, it's super soft, a wonderful colour and it arrived at exactly the right time, thank you!
Lovely quality. Feels beautiful and light. Good size and colour. Thank you
A very good quality pashmina, the colour was exactly as on the internet and the weight and feel of it is perfect. I would deifinitely order again. Great quality and prompt delivery.
Fabric is lovely but the style is not quite as good as I had hoped. It does not look as good as another cashmere cap that I have but the other one was a lot dearer. I am not too sure that I shall wear it much unless I can alter it to get it right.
Absolutely gorgeous, a good neutral colour if you're not buying to match anything else. The shawl is soft and light, I'm taking it with me when I go to India, it will be warm on the plane and useful for a wrap in the air conditioned hotels. Definitely worth the money, I shall buy another soon.
Beautiful quality. But for a neck scarf would like slightly longer and narrow. But can't fault quality
Lovely cap and well received as a present.
Very comfortable and soft. Excellent price too!
Although this is a clearance item, it did not state that there was a hole right in the middle of the v neck.
On the small side too.
Have bought items for many years and always 100% happy.
Lovely quality, and a really pretty pale pink, My only complaint is that it was very creased and although I ironed it before the wedding (my sons, and I wore it with my evening dress for the fireworks) the creases remained. I will make sure I iron it damp before I wear it the next time.
I am very happy with all your pashminas and thank you also for your service, since i once did not receive the ordered pashmina.
The pashmina is of the highest quality and a useful addition to any wardrobe.
Choosing a bespoke colour from the swatch book was great for matching with a special occasion outfit., so 5* for the product, not so good was the delay in receiving the item, the misinformation given by the company and the difficulty in contacting them - only successful method was the webchat route. Keeping the customer informed of delays etc is a neccessity. So allow way more time than is stated for anything bespoke! Only 2* for customer service.
The carmine color in reality is redder than in the image...actually a gorgeous shade of red, one of the prettiest shades of red I've ever seen. Not harsh. I'm looking forward to wearing it often, as much of my wardrobe is black and white, and the shawl, whether worn as shawl or scarf, will provide some eye-catching contrast.
This is no the first purchase from MYPAHMINA . I was searching for a colour similar to an imperfect aquamarine. As soon as this came out of the packaging it has become a firm favorite- that goes really well will most colours. The quality is always high and the mixture of silk and cashmere means that it is a great scarf to have all through winter and for the odd cool evenings in summer.
Beautiful pashmina - as ever. Must be my 5th or 6th from this wonderful website.
Excellent Pashmina , just what I wanted and it was sent to me by the next day . So first class service , thank you xx
I ordered this but it didn’t turn up. I eventually got a message to say it had sold out. Disappointing.
I first bought a light green pashmina from M P at least eight years ago. I still wear it, it’s lovely and lasted really well. Three years ago I bought another one in Rabbit, wore it, loved the colour but it became very bobbly very quickly. Because I loved the colour so much I bought another one in rabbit, not yet worn but it feels thinner than the original green one, similar to the original rabbit coloured one. I would rather pay a bit more money to avoid bobbling and have a better quality thicker grade of cashmere.
The cardigan fits well on my three-year-old, and keeps her warm and toasty on windy days. I didn't mind the pull as I was able to thread the yarn through to the inside of the sleeve. I had worried about the quality as I'd never heard of MyPashmina before, so I was hesitant to buy at full price. You've proven those doubts needless. Will definitely be shopping with you again!
Item is great quality and good value for money, however it is not what I would call a dark navy it is more of a French navy
Loved it always buy these scarves
Absolutely delighted with my purchase of this pashmina and the wonderful help I always recieve

Lovely quality and just the right colour.
Lovely quality and colour just what I wanted.
Very nice Pashmina. Very fast delivery.
My angelweave bespoke pashmina (45 x 200, natural white) took quite a while to arrive (10 weeks in all) but it is well worth the wait. Super soft and luxurious, I'm sure I'll be wearing it often!
Beautifully soft pashmina, drapes perfectly. I was utterly thrilled with my purchase. The colour was true to the very handy colour chart I also bought. The winter white is a very useful warm-toned neutral which I can wear with many outfits (though bought for a goddaughter's wedding where it received many compliments). What a lovely surprise to buy something online which is of such truly excellent quality and is such great value. I would thoroughly recommend this. And will be buying again. I have also been showing the colour chart off to friends. (The idea of the colour chart is really great: your know just what shade you're buying).
Such a great idea (along with the refund option). The colour shown was true to the pashmina I bought and I was much happier buying online with colour samples to pick from.
Beautifully soft and useful blanket. I bought a few for my granddaughter and as usual haven't been disappointed by MyPashmina. Thank you.
The colour is gorgeous : nicer than the one of the site.
And the feeling of the wool so soft and confortable !
I wash it on the wool program of a Miele washing machine : the wool did not change and support very well that washing.
Perfect : the colour is wonderful : perfect to wear with blue trousers.
The wool is so confortable ; great feeling.
The shape is perfect.
I wash it on the wool program of a Miele washing machine 30° speed 400 : the wool did not change at all.
So soft and comfortable : great feeling
For men : the size is bigger than for ladies
I sent for a white pashmina scarf to wear around my shoulders for a formal dinner/dance. It is really nice quality and it kept me beautifully warm. Of course I plan to wear it now all Winter over my jumpers! A beautifully soft, lovely to wear scarf. I really like the end fringe too.
Very happy with the service from my pashmina. I ordered a navy pashmina and was very impressed with how quickly it arrived. Also the quality did not disappoint. I will definitely order again!
Very soft and love the colour. Been wearing it over my pyjamas as a cosy relaxing treat! Very pleased with the purchase. One minor improvement would be that the zip can be tricky to align at the bottom.
Quality and service in top.
I am very disappointed with the quality of this hoody. The cashmere is poor. I suppose that is why it was such a low price. I should have known, you get what you pay for! I have kept it, but it isn't going to be worn anywhere that matters!
I love the quality and the softness of your cashmere. The colour is wonderful. I too wear a size 16 but I would give this 5 stars if the sleeves were a little shorter!
This is my fifth hoody from you :) Love it
Sizing is way out. This is more like a size 16 but fortunately I phoned to ask about the sizing before ordering and it does fit me. The fabric isn't as soft as other cashmere sweaters I've had. Don't think I would buy again.
I was enticed to buy this because the reduced price. So far I am very happy with it. I am looking out for whether the sleeves & sides of the garment go bobbly, which is the problem with some cashmere. Fingers crossed it will be fine, but only time will tell !
Arrived very quickly and is just as pictured! Great color and soft as expected. Thank you for the great price!
Very happy with both stoles
Ginger bread colour beautiful and fashionable in France just now. Ordered as xmas present for my futur daughter in law
The tassels give a good finish to the stole
Your products are very good and the colours excellent
Delivery was rapid
Only problem was that the packet had opened during its travels and had been re sealed by the French post
Luckily both items arrived and were in good condition
Sadly I agree with Annette Butterworth - the quality is not good. I have 4 of these hoodies and the best one is the tan coloured one.....it is soooo soft. It's a shame the black one feels like normal wool, NOT like pure cashmere.
Super fast delivery, lovely quality (I have bought several in the past), but unfortunately not the colour I was after.
I have ordered many of these scarfs in the last 5 or more years. The quality is excellent. And even though delivery took much longer than usual it was well worth waiting for. I recommmend buying a swatchbook before choosing the colour.
Ideal size to take on holiday, useful as a scarf or wrap. Wear it on the plane, or in the office when the air con gets too cold. It folds up quite small so you can carry it in your bag when it is no longer needed. The silk cashmere mix has a subtle sheen, and the tassels add a touch of class.
Wonderful shade of green; gorgeous material; good length; great service.
Fab! True to size fit.
Lovely colour combination. Perfect fit; true to size.
Handsome cardigan. Great colour.
Present for my daughter, she loves it.
I have bought scarfs in the past from MyPashmina which I was very pleased with, so no surprise with this hoodie. Delivery is superb, so quick . Hoodie is lovely, looks good on and the size is true. I ordered mine to use primarily for wearing going to and from the gym instead of a fleece, it works for me. Re above comments, I did have to wash mine first but don't use biological powder. It is very thin ply but that does work for this style. Real test is how long it lasts!
Bought this for my wife as a small surprise. She loves it. Excellent quality.
